Be kind to your Cake Decorator

Alright... I would like to know what it is with cake and people turning into assholes? Really, why? So I was thinking and I came up with a few things... Try them out next time you order a cake... Who knows you might get better service... Or a nicer cake...

#1- Order ahead of time. Look, I know we all get busy. But honestly, if you're too busy to remember your kids birthdays... You have a problem. You'd think labor is enough of a reminder... *Shrugs* Any way, Don't order your cake the day before you need it. The bakery is more likely to have the kind of cake you want, or the toy you want, ETC... And the decorator is going to be less stressed out making your cake... So it will be a nicer cake.

#2- Be Nice. Look I know you've had a bad day, and you want to take it out on somebody... But really, the cake decorator...? Honestly? Look, we've probably had a bad day, and people acting like we want to eat their children... Not gonna make it better... Be nice, be polite, don't act like we're the scum under your shoe... Does no one remember the proverb, "Don't piss off the chief."?

#3- Manners, use um. It just helps... It really does.

#4- We are not machines. I was born, not made. I have my off days. I feel pain. I get sick. I feel sad... I hurt myself... But more then that, I can not make a cake in five minutes. I'm good... But I'm not that good. Also I can not EXACTLY reproduce your picture in cake form. No human can... That said... Some times there is no excuse on the decorator's part... [link]

#5- We are not mind readers. You may have the perfect Cake in mind... That's wonderful. You're not going to get it if you don't tell us what you want.

There you go. Five simple rules that will make your next Cake ordering experience a more pleasant one. And you might make a new friend or two... And we work extra-hard to make nice cake for our friends. <3 *Foxie smiles*
